HISTORY OF İŞÇİMEN FAMILY
| Business life of the family was started as “bolkepçe lunchroom” in the beginnings of 1950s by Hasan İşçimen. After a while the second restaurant was opened in the direction of supply demand.
In 1968 it was started to manage the Municipality Motel having 78 beds capacity in Erikli, Gulf of Saros. By considering the experience and knowledge gained here and in the direction of supply demand, İşçimen Hotel was put into service of tourism with the capacity of 31 rooms and 68 beds in 1974 when there weren’t any infrastructure (road, water, electricity etc.) around Erikli, Gulf of Saros. İşçimen Hotel was deemed as “Touristic Facility” with one star by the Ministry of Tourism in 1975.
In 1980 “Bolkepçe Lunchroom” was transformed into a restaurant and then it became an authentic Barbecue Restaurant which has been mentioned as “legend” for years.
According to our expression, our “Touristic Facility” was decorated every season by considering the idea of “service for human, material is human”. In 1987 and 1988 İşçimen Hotel reached to the capacity of 42 rooms and 93 beds by following all technological developments in that era.
In 1990 Sofram Charcuterie which was the first and real one in Keşan was opened next to Barbecue Restaurant which was deemed as legend so it offered people to have delicious Barbecue at their houses. In 1992 modern buildings were constructed by considering the human first in the sector of construction too. In 1996 they had a break at Barbecue Restaurant and Sofram Charcuterie as a legend; it would have been started again. In the food and beverage sector which was established by our father in 1950 three siblings actively has been working at İşçimen Hotel, İşçimen Club (It was ended in 2010), Sofram Restaurant and Catering (It was completed in 2010). In 2010 which is the 60th business year of our family, “Bahçeli Restaurant” including a soup house and fish house was opened in order to keep our father’s name alive. The hotel advanced to “2 star” with the latest revisions in 2010. Finally, “Poseidon Bistro” is being prepared in order to offer a new taste for you in the summer of 2012.
